Photography long has been a passion of mine. I think I was hooked on it the
first time I depressed the shutter release button on a Canon SLR I picked up at
a store in San Francisco in 1985. I bought that camera and began shooting my
way up and down the Northern California coast.
Years later I'm still shooting, but my focus has changed from landscapes,
though I still shoot them, to moving objects. I have branched out into youth
sports in general and horse shows in particular. My two daughters are
equestrians, so I figured that since I would be shooting them anyhow I might as
well shoot other riders and market the images to them and their parents.
My philosophy of shooting action photography is simple: Get up close with
the camera and the photo is personal. See our Gallery
here.
